The only ad I saw was a brief FedEx posting.
It's not the ad itself, it's the server that hosts the ad. I'm using a
hosts file to redirect known advertising servers, particularly adware
and malware servers.
The browser is being told to load an ad from "some.advertising.servers"
which is listed in my hosts file, and the hosts file tells the computer
the IP for that server 127.0.0.1
Now that the BBC flash clips are preceded by advertising from
adware/malware sites, I won't bother with them.
