Of course not!  When did I say that?

The issue is about imposing something on an animal that he had no say
in.  It's about imposing something on an animal for ~our~
entertainment.  It's about imposing something on an animal that
~might~ have side-effects without him having a say in the matter.

The thing about it (other than the fact that it's possibly mildly toxic as well as annoying for the
dog) is that the animal has no choice in the matter.  A human can
weigh the pros and cons and decide if they want to do it;  the dog
obviously has no say, so to impose something like that on it just
isn't fair, IMHO.

That's quite a stretch from me saying that dying a dog green for St.
Patrick's Day is wrong to "we should do just what our pets wants us to
do".
