Not bad really. Of course shooting against sky sucks, even when its blue. Some flash fill would help. I use flash with an Xtender flash magnifier when shooting birds with long lenses. It's still difficult, but the fill helps.

I didn't really expect them to. I have found shooting against an
overcast sky to be nearly impossible. Too much backlight for the
subject lighting.

A photoshop wizard might be able to put the sky in it's own layer and
have it get processed differently than the bird.
