I have commented before on how well the MZ-S and AF360 work... the camera's multi-zone metering of the preflash produce consistently good exposures. However, one problem. There are some people who are prone to blinking at the flash and while a single flash will typically take the exposure before the blink, the preflash triggers the blink so the eyes are closed when the actual exposure is made.
I have now tried off camera (wireless) flash, but the small camera flash still fires prior to the exposure which may trigger the blink. I will know when I have my last roll processed. Typically with an SLR one does not see the flash fire because the mirror is up at the moment of exposure. However, with preflash, one does see the flash, or actually the preflash, through the viewfinder although the actual exposure and flash follow so closely that there is no perceptible delay and it appears to be one contiguous flash. Any one else experiencing this problem? Cheers, Mike. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
