Robert, Not quite the same. Pal did use it for six years. You only tried a rangefinder. I did use and loved 2 PZ-1p's for several years. Against other models in the Pentax line I would defend it as you have. However, I have and use 2 MZ-S's now and have found it to be on equal footing in many areas with the PZ-1p. Worse in a few, better in a few. But the area where the argument is occuring is *not* where there is a weakness, only a preference.
