I had the same "problem" a few months ago. I was even considering
seriously the DA* 50-135 - the specs of this lens look just great to
me. But after watching large number of samples I decided that I
actually like the overall look of images from 50-200 more than from
the 50-135 (maybe this is just me). What you loose with 50-200 is of
course speed (the f/5.6 at 200mm is rather optimistic) but the
color/contrast it offers look just great to me, and I do not mean
"considering the price". It is also very compact and the build quality
to me is better than for example DA 16-45.

The lens requires substantial correction for back-focus on my k10d.
