No.

All you have to do is import a scanned file from the location you set the scan application to output to. Scan as many more as you want to that location while you're working on what's already there. Once done, or at any convenient moment between scans, synchronize the folder. Synchronizing the folder means calling one function and clicking the ok button after the first time you do it ... Lightroom will remember all your settings from the previous import operation and will bypass the import dialog entirely.

I'm sure this is such a horrendous, additional, time consuming burden that you just could not stand to suffer it, however.

It is, on the other hand, how I work with scanning any substantial number of image files and proves to be quite efficient.
