Thanks to everyone who responded. For the geekoids amongst you, basically I was testing out a Flash video encoder that works as a Quicktime plugin - means I can encode directly from the Final Cut timeline exporting as an .flv - this is useful as I would otherwise have needed an app like Sorenson Squeeze, but that does millions of other things that Compressor (in Final Cut) already does. Just needed a good Flash encoder. Chose ON2 Flix Exporter:
<http://www.on2.com/index.php?399> after doing research and tests. Now I can bin ffmpegx! Nice shareware but you get what you pay for (the ON2 is 200 bucks....) but it does work very well. Very pleased with the results. I'll be providing Flash video as part of my web production services shortly so hopefully a good investment. Thanks again. Oh yeah, BTW, I've re-encoded the Grandfather Mountain video and re- posted it - the quality has improved a lot, and even stands viewing at full screen. <http://www.seeingeye.tv/pages/grandfather.html> -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
