Thanks, Bong. I see your point about the nose becoming too dominant. I'll remember that if I get another go. I have no artistic reasons behind this image... When it comes to portraits I'm a total newbie, so any and all constructive advice is most welcome. The shot was made during a boat trip two days ago, to the seabird colonies at Farne Islands (UK). That's why I had the 300mm on the camera in the first place. It was a fairly bumpy ride, so framing this subject was quite an interesting exercise. The cormorants out there were a lot easier to photograph, actually.
