The diffuser disc is to help eliminate dust shadows.
It's a white transluscent plastic.
But it cuts out so much light that very long exposures
are required.  I don't like that approach.

I put in an incandescent 250 w. bulb.  It's too hot.
Hasn't damaged the neg, but the metal casing
gets too hot.

I think I'll remove the difusion disc and go back to the
way it was.  Maybe I just need a new enlarger...
