Speaking of the Orbis adaptor, all of the photos that make up this image were taken using one (~130kb): <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3626/3403694597_6aede35a60_o.jpg> As to flash for macro, any flash will do the job as long as you can get it off the camera. I'm personally a big fan of the wirelles features of the AF-540FGZ (and the CLS system on the Nikon).
