Or Pentax Canada has no understanding of the concept of comparison
shopping. As nice as the Pentax bodies are, who's going to pay $775
for a FA 35/2 or the same price for a 17-70, let alone $800 for an
AF540FGZ. Right now Pentax is the unarguable value loser in Canada
despite the fact that the body prices are finally where they belong.

Whats really pissy is that because of the high defect rate in their lenses,
ordering from an overseas vendor is like playing Russian Roulette.
I suspect that PCI will drop lens prices when they realize that sales of new
equipment has ground to a halt. I sure the hell am not prepared to attempt
to justify $2K for the 60-250 to the planning department.
OTOH, I could make a killing selling off the dozen or so AF lenses that are
mouldering away at my shop, right beside the box of film that I still have
to send to you.....
