I went back yesterday evening. The horses had moved into an open
field. The good thing about digital is that I was able to blow off 133
frames. The bad news is that I've got like 133 frames of horses to
sort through looking for the keepers.

What I should have done is asked for pointers for shooting horses ina
field *before* going off for a reshoot.

I continued up San Felipe to Metcalf, top down in the Miata. I can see
that that little loop of a drive is full of photographic
opportunities. This may sound odd to folks who haven;t lived in this
area for more than a couple of decades but I didn't realize that there
was a little bit of California so close to the office.

I stopped to shoot a rusty barn, and it turns out that there was
someone working on a car in the yard I had parked in front of. He says
that a lot of people stop to shoot it, and the rusty farm equipment
just up the road (corner of San Felipe and Metcalf).

As a short digression, he had dropped a turbo charged 2.3l ford 4 cyl
into his 69 Cougar, replacing the V-8.

Later on, I got some shots of a tree in the late dusk. 30 second
exposures, a couple of them with flash. A quick look when I got home
last night shows that a couple of them have potential, but I'm no Dave
Savage.
