Adam - oooh those look like fire ants ... I guess you didn't get bit or you would have mentioned it... I didn't see the first post... I"ve been scarce here lately... they are nice and clear for ID'ing

A definite improvement, the ants really separate from the background.
May I additionally suggest you try a little gaussian blur to the background
to further separate the ants.

I tweaked the cropping as well (didn't think anyone would notice the
antenna to the right.  how wrong i was hehehe) .  Thanks so much for
the input.
