Generally, they say that once you learn how to take advantage of the square format, there is just no going back to rectangular prints. Now, to be fair, these guys are all portraitists, but a couple of them are award winning landscape photographers using the square format. I actually quite like the square format. I have an easier time composing on the 4x5 and 6x7 than 2:3 cameras, I think in part because the format is closer to square. We're back to carriage return hell, BTW.
