I thought that was the terns?
At Østensjøvannet, the Hooded Gulls eat just about anything. They are
commonly seen at landfill sites too, along with other gulls. On this
outing, I had a packed of small carrots with me. They were a bit green
at the top, so I threw away the hmm... caps?... one at a time. The
mere act of person-throwing-bit-sized-object was enough to attract
them. They looked positively disappointed when realising it was only
vegetables... :-)

Btw, there was some insect hatching going on. Looked like chironomid
mosquitoes ("fjærmygg"), and some of the Hooded Gulls were busily
snapping them up. Tried to catch them in the act, but didn't get any
good shots of that. :-(
