Before I went vegan I had to have a "final Penrose trip" for their deep-fried haddock and chips. Unlike many such places who have gone "healthier" over the years, Penrose still deep fries everything in lard. My thinking is that deep fried is bad for ya anyways, so you might as well go all the way with lard.
