Stouffvilles big claim to fame is the market that has been around since dirt was invented. It was year round, not April-mid Jan.
It had livestock auctions, pony rides, vendors with old "junk" and vendors with counterfeit and stolen goods, as well as local produce. I for one used the "junk" guys a lot. Especially when we had the 150 year old house. They seemed to have what ever i broke in stock. Need a glass door knob, got it. Need a cast iron hinge, got it.:-) It has gone through a lot of changes, no livestock, no junk guys but lots of cheap crap wal mart can't sell. If the humidity gets to high, the shirts shrink. The town is setting up a summer market in the heart of town, for local produce only. No parking, but i hope it does well. I'll be using it.
