Swans, which are reflective as well as white, cygnets, which are dark grey to blackish, plus blazing direct sunlight, water reflections, and tree shade. I want to be able to take pictures of that and not have to apply curves that look like a snake with the staggers to get something presentable out of the raw file. I don't do any formal portraiture at all. [snip] > But this isn't about "G1 über alles!" or any such nonsense. It's simply a better viewfinder for the majority of what I > do with a camera. I've used that kind of viewfinder; I believe I've even looked through the G1 viewfinder. I hate them with a mad inhuman passion. (Possibly because 14mm is not enough eye clearance for me and my glasses; possibly because I can't use them with sunglasses; possibly because I can see the gods-be-feathered grain.) But I hate them, and this is mostly an indication that I am not you. -- Graydon -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
