Update to ACR 2.4 (latest version for CS), get the latest version of Adobe DNG converter, convert your PEF's to DNG and enjoy CS for a while more. ACR is the best overall converter for Pentax RAWs. Later versions do provide more control though.
I use this method to get Panasonic G1 RAW's into ACR 4 for CS3 (The G1's only supported natively in ACR 5). Capture One 4 is a decent alternative for PEF conversion as well (I own it and it handles K10D RAW's quite well) and there's always SilkyPix or Pentax Photo Lab if you can deal with bad UI, slow performance and instability. There's a half-dozen other options as well.
