Apple has released QuickTime 7.6.2, which addresses a host of known
security issues with QuickTime. Available for OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and
OS X 10.4 (Tiger), as well as Windows XP and Vista, this update is
highly recommended.
The update corrects security problems that could allow files
masquerading as movie, video, audio, or image files to exploit the
security holes in QuickTime and cause problems ranging from QuickTime
terminating to arbitrary code execution.
QuickTime 7.6.2 is available via Software Update in the Apple menu, or
as a download from the Apple web site.
