It's how we got rid of them, eventually. Most trolls turned to stone
at the break of day, but some of our ancestors had problems with
particularly resistant ogres. Until they found out the buggers had
invented sunscreen-kinda cream. One ancestor happened to taste the
stuff, liked it, and ate it all up. Without it, the trolls turned to
stone at next sunrise, of course, and the dessert was named to remind
of our defeated foe.
