Bob W, My long departed grandmother talked occasionally about fresh chicken. You know, the kind where you twisted the necks or cut the heads off, and then plucked the feathers. She always favored store bought chicken, the kind that came in packages in the grocery. I don't think she minded the killing so much as the plucking (her job as a little girl on the farm).
