Dave,
I've got 2 spares,used in the K10D and then the K20D.  One was
purchased locally at the computer store (a minolta 400 variant?) and
the other thru ebay.  They seem not to last as long as my Pentax
battery - maybe 50-70% as long.  But the price was way less, probably
1/3rd.  I'll get spares for the K-7 as well.  Filling a 16 Meg sd card
might run you out of juice!
Neither of them has died, but I am having trouble with the D-L18's I
used in the Optio 4 and SV (postage stamp sized).  Both the originals
and the 3 replacements I purchased for cheap seem to be dying. (I'm
using the SV for ebay photos.)
