I'm talking about a class of cameras (which does include some Pentax's) that feature chiclet buttons, nothing resembling an ergonomic grip and slick casings. I understand the value of a carry-everywhere camera, but find these cameras so completely frustrating to work with due to their poor handling that I simply haul a larger camera instead. I've owned 2 such cameras (an ancient Fujifilm Finepix 30i and a Nikon Coolpix P3) and came to utterly loathe them. Both ended up in a drawer until disposed of, neither ever saw significant use. -Adam -- M.
