Having lived in New York and Boston, I feel your lack of enthusiasm for the oppressive heat and humidity.

In Seattle today, it will top out at 72° about 5 PM. After the sun comes through the current cloud layer. One of the many reasons I moved here 21 years ago.

Currently: Temperature: 59.7°F / 15.4°C | Humidity: 39% | Pressure: 29.65in / 1003.9hPa (Steady) | Conditions: Clear | Wind Direction: ENE | Wind Speed: 3.6mph / 5.8km/h

I've been watching the sweltering belt ( oops, wrong thread) in our part of the world and read Boris's first post - AND feeling very lucky in NY... hoping I'm not tempting Providence, but I'll take 19 days of rain in June over 19 days of over 90 degrees and no wind. I'll also second Christine's observation of the rarity of Chicago's air
ever being still...
Be careful you guys in the hot zones...

I couldn't remember most of what I know today
if it weren't for others sharing their knowledge
of my past on the Internet. Thank you…
