Hello again
I would like to explain the simplicity of geo-tagging with Columbus V900.
In a simple application called "Time Album for Columbus 1.6.1" you import your
JPEG's and the GPS tracking file (from the Columbus V900), which has the
exptension CSV. After having made sure the time is adjusted correctly
(camera/recorded sattelite time) you make (export) a .MMZ or .NMEA file. These
files are meant for showing you journey in Google Maps. Before doing this you
get the option to copy and save your image files in annother file (archive)
called GPSed. The files in the GPSed file are now tagged with Longitude,
Latitude and Altitude. This is a quite easy way to geo-tag your images.

But still, it would be very simple and easy if all this was done in real-time
in the camera, during the actual shooting :-)
This will of course eventually be a feature in new cameras in a few years
(nikon allready made a Coolpix P&S that does this. More will follow - or we'll
get a plug-in option for GPS tracking and geo-tagging devices. I believe Nikon
alreay made one of these too.

Regards
Jens
