The battery is still charging so I haven't started playing yet, but I did turn the level on in the shop demonstrator and quickly decided that it would stay on all the time. There are a lot of features and parameters to think about so I had better RTFM. The manual doesn't mention any of the older flashes, so I'll have to play around and see whether I need to update from the AF400FTZ. I don't normally use on- camera flash for anything other than party photos so if it still works in auto mode I may not bother.
You might rethink that. With the electronic level on, you lose the manual exposure readout, since it shares LCD space with the level.
