I can't quite visualise what your describing, but I think I'd prefer the images to just appear at the correct size without autofitting and without scrolling. I'm assuming that the 'auto fit' function you refer to the "Image Bounds" function that appears under "Images' in the JAlbum settings dioalog. In my case I set this to 750 x 600 as that defines the largest horizontal and vertical sizes of the images I include in my albums - I use 750 x 465 for landscape format images and 400 x 600 for portrait format images. These settings prevent the images from resizing and should allow them to appear on most monitors without scrolling.
