Pat, First of all make sure that it doesn't stretch the image to fit large monitors, only squeeze them to fit smaller ones. Then keep in mind that no matter what resolution the image is viewed at, your audience will have to download the same pic. If you put a lot of pics out there to fit my monitor (1920x1200 pixels), I surely wouldn't want to view your site from a low grade ADSL connection...
