For the past 19 years, I've attended a festival (Twins Days) in Twinsburg, Ohio every fall.

Every Saturday at 3:00 there is a "group photo" taken from the top of a cherry-picker. Looks like this:

This image has been taken with a Nikon D200 for the past couple of years. Looks OK I guess (this is a scan of a print I'm pointing to now).

Well, their "regular" photographer has gone out of business and isn't available to do the shot. I told the committee "I've got some decent gear, I'd be happy to do this for you".

I'm figuring the K10D will be good enough in terms of resolution. This photo has typically only been available in 8x10.

A couple of questions:

From your point of view, does this look like the 16-50 will be wide enough? Too wide? Does it look like the kind of shot that might benefit from me borrowing a friend's K20 for the weekend?

I also have an A-28mm if there is a benefit to shooting with that - if it looks like the FOV would be wide enough. I guess I'll bring both. Suggestions, ideas all appreciated.

 -Charles

PS: My twin will be in the basket with me - with his Canon XTi and Tokina 17-50 ... so there's my backup.
