But you did not write like as though you were aware of that -- "2x to 3x
the quality as implied by 3x the price" is as near to linear in
expectation as makes no nevermind.

The only time I've ever had flare issues with mine, sticking a polarizer
on it handled them nicely, and the cutaway hood does make it easy to
turn polarizers.
