Nice catch on the rainbows, Larry. I like the self-portrait, but I think
next time you should stand up or sit on your butt. The squat looks a bit
awkward. :-). cheers, Christine

Subject: geso, texas trip preview
I'm about to hit an insanely busy stretch at work, so I don't know
when I'll be able to process all of my shots from last week's
roadtrip. I did a quick run through, picking a few of the more
promising ones, with quick editing for cropping and exposure.

The kid on the horse is my nephew. Yes, he is listening to his iPod
while practicing polocrosse (lacrosse on horseback).
I have no idea what those birds are, they were on my sister's ranch in
North Central Texas (Collinsville, near Sherman).
The last six shots were taken at night. I envy Dave his D700. It was a
full moon, so I can't really compare stars in North America vs. Oz.
The rainbow shots were taken from the shoulder of I40 (Route 66) just
east of Barstow.
The brick wall shot was taken in downtown Austin.
I may post a few PESOs as I go through the whole set over the next few
weeks.

The first step is learning to take great photos,
the second step is learning to throw away ones that are merely good.
