I started out trying to stand, but it was impossible for me to stand sufficiently still for 25, or even 7 seconds. I also tried sitting cross legged, but that didn't work out as well either. That wasn't a squat, I was sitting on my knees. In aikido it is called sitting zazen, and if you're used to it, can be very comfortable. I'm a bit out of practice so I can only sit that way for a few minutes at a time. The self portrait was totally impromptu.
