For my recent week's cycling in Brittany, for a week's cycling in Yorkshire
last year and for a week's cycling in Dorset the year before, I used my
Domke F5-XB.

In Brittany I kept in it a Leica M8+lens, 3-4 other lenses, lightmeter,
storage card box, Swiss Army knife with keys attached, glasses case, wallet,
change, lens cloth, lens pen.

The bag has a detachable shoulder strap and you can loop a Domke belt
through the bag very securely to wear it as a belt. I have cycled for 10-20
miles while wearing it as a 'fanny pack' and it's fine, although it
occasionally snagged a bit with the saddle. I wouldn't use it that way to
cycle long distances.

For longer distances I can attach it quite easily to the handlebars to use
as a bar bag using straps that go through the very secure and strong metal
rings used for attaching the shoulder strap. I used it like this to carry an
Olympus E-1 + 14-54 lens.

For long rides in Brittany I put bungee through the metal rings to attach it
to the saddle frame, and more bungee through the cloth tripod strap loops to
attach it to the bike rack, so there was no single point of failure. It was
very secure.

For shorter rides it stuffs quite easily into a Carradice 'Junior' saddle
bag along with a few tools and a cheese and tomato sandwich. For shorter
rides still it is pefectly comfortable worn like a messenger bag.

It comes in a choice of colours, including sand for those trips through
Death Valley or the Taklamakan.

It is an awesomely good bag for the cycling photographer and for the
photographing cyclist.
