Well, yes and no.  There are nested tables there but the light grey
background is just a color attribute on the <BODY> tag and the dark grey
table is a fixed-width table set to just fit on an 800x600 resolution
screen. It centres itself at larger resolutions because it has <CENTER>
tags around it. As Doug points out, this may not be the best design
principle but it seems to work OK on the various screens and browsers
that I've tried it on.  The code validates OK and no one has complained
about the way it looks so I haven't had the enthusiasm to amend it.
