I have downloaded a couple of dictionaries onto my phone/pda from this company: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/HomePage/default.asp?Language=EN They seem to have all the Orwell anyone could want, including 1984: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/eBooks/searchebooks.asp?Language=EN&searchStr=g eorge+orwell&searchType=All&lang=EN&orderBy=best I had read everything by Orwell before I was 18 years old. Well worth it. I have no interest in reading narratives on electronic devices. They're excellent for dictionaries though - it means I can sit in a cafe reading a real French book or magazine without having to cart a 2-volume 750,000 word printed dictionary around with me.
