Thanks
A few flash on camera shots of a static subject in direct and bounce
modes. Subject say, 8-10 feet away.
I tend to shoot indoor in M mode AV of F 4ish and Tv of around 1/30 or
so. My Nikons do a good job but i really have to play around with the
Pentax combination.
Out side i'd like to see how it performs in fill flash mode, ie lessen
shadows of a hat wearer or a portrait shot in partial shade.
Again i have a hard time getting something to work here, Pentax gear wise.
If the K7 handles flash and fil flash better than what i get now, i'd
give this camera serious consideration over the D300.
I've noticed you can set the flash (AF540FGZ & AF360FGZ) for 1 - 2 stops
under and get fill with the K10D. I'm talking about setting the flash,
not the camera.
As soon as the flash goes into power saving mode, any settings you chose
are lost and it goes back to the default when you wake it up again, so
you have to keep fiddling with the flash to get it where you want it.
All it really needs to do is retain the last setting whenever it goes
into sleep mode. But it doesn't
You can also set flash in the K10D function for up to 3 stops under, but
I don't think that affects the shoe mounted flash.
