It looked to me from the article that they had found the exact spot (within a few yards anyway), and that said spot was several miles from the actual fighting.

That's what the article said, but there seems to have been no real analysis by experts, other wise they would have been quoted. At least I assume they would have quoted them. Of course it doesn't have to be an expert, a rigorous analysis by a talented amateur could convincing as well, but then I'd have to see a discussion of the methodology.


Of course at some point a level of proof that is impossible to attain can be demanded.
