I subscribe through the digests, and there were none in my inbox

John--- I note that you, too are on ROADRUNNER...
I tested the list by sending something to it, so when what I mailed
didnt show up...welll..
while one doesn't expect to see much mail on a summer weekend
on this list there are a lot more posts anyway - but having communicated
extensively with Paul and Doug on facebook, we did know that others were
getting the list
and it appeared not to me anything with the list's server.
I think it was something to do with the feed into roadrunner.
I'm not sure I completely understand how it all works, but I gather
there are a few super-servers or gateways or such like that serve as
clearinghouses between ISPs and such.
I think one of these super-servers feeding roadrunner must have been
messed up, but not all of them because I was getting other mail from
other sources on my roadrunner account during the "outage".
Everybody needs a day off now and then.
I sure don't read everything but when I had just specifically asked for
feedback , I didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring their responses
I read all my mail with special settings - can't cope with the archives.
Are the archives the same as the digests. I tried the straight PDML and
just couldn't keep up with all the emails. The digests appear to gather
all the posts together into digestable clumps and don't seem to lag too
far behind.
At least they don't lag as far behind as I do some times.
As to your new website, I pretty much like the design but there was one
thing that bothered me a little ... when I was browsing through some
galleries, I'd click the "next arrow" to go the next image; instead of
going to the next image, there'd be a delay while it popped open a
thumbnail of the image in a new window.
After a few seconds it would close the thumbnail window and go on to the
next image.
It seemed like it was opening the thumbnail window when the mouse
pointer lingered over the arrow for a fraction of a second before I
clicked. With a little practice I could dart in and click the arrow
without triggering the thumbnail window.
I sort of followed some of the other comments and that might be what
others were commenting on.
