Damn, from everything I've heard about the SR71 how would they know?

Nice photos of some fascinating models.

Did the SR-71 fly [Image34]? I've always been fascinated about those and would like to actually see one, one day. I actually have a small plastic model of one, I think it's in the garage somewhere.
Next time you are in Seattle, I'll take you to the Air Museum at Boeing Field. I'm pretty sure the Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC has one as well.

You mean this one (in Seattle)?

Technically it's not a Blackbird, but you need to be a real expert to
know the difference. When I first put the image up I didn't have the
explanatory caption, and was corrected by a colleague on another group
who used to be on the ground crew at NASA Edwards (until she retired).

Write NOAH and see if they'll do an overflight for you, as they still fly theirs. :-)

One of the last flights scheduled for the NASA aircraft was a flyover
of the Moffet Field airshow, including a low, slow pass. I was sitting
out there in a prime photo spot, with the 250-600 mounted, but at the
last minute the flight was cancelled due to excesive fuel leakage :-(

fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a
free man any more than a dog.
