Setting it to the longest or near longest FL means you are overcorrecting any time the lens is used below the input focal length.
This is an area where too little is better than too much.


I guess that makes sense.  I never really thought about it!

The only logical strategy for me is to replace my 70-210 with something that is autofocus so that it reports the focal length back to the camera. Oh honey, how 'bout that 50-135? :-)
