Hey, now that's interesting... there are gloppy pieces of glass on the
_outside_ of the tube holding the tiny geegaws
that provide the color for the actual kaleidoscope, as well as some
inside it.. (see the pix on the ebay listing) . I really
thought this piece I'm selling was ugly though oddly I started getting
more fond of it as I photographed.
I bet the kaleidoscope artist likes Chihuly... I sure don't . It reminds
me of the "ruler" of the future in Forster's "The Machine Stops" that
is, what I visualized when reading it.
