Are you shooting DNG or PEF?

DNG has camera-generated thumbnails in it; if Lightroom sensibly grabs
those, they'll look like the full-size pictures.

If the colours change, the software is presumably applying a different
colour temperature for some automagic reason.

Is "as shot" the equivalent of "camera WB"?  It sounds very much like
the software doesn't know the K-7 from Wellington boots.  What do you
get if you switch WB to "daylight"?
