Actually, I see the same problems with the RAW files I took at the "Viral Tour" demo in Minneapolis... and LR 2.4.
Yes, the colors can be pretty much fixed after the fact, but the default behavior/appearance of the K-7 RAW files (PEF) in LR on my Mac look horrible.
I'm reasonably confident it is an Adobe, not Pentax, problem - and I agree with the suggestion that one ought to look at what the Pentax- supplied software does with these files before growing despondent.
