I live between to particularly lofty peaks here in the state of Washington. On a good day (winter, day after a storm) I can see them both clearly.

Mt. Rainier - 4392 meters, 14,411 feet, 105 km or 65 miles to my south linearly

Mt. Baker - 3286 meters, 10,781 feet 90 km or 56 miles to my north linearly

But I will never climb either one!

I chose to bring the K-7 and the FA 43mm f/1.9 for this, and it proved
to be a very nice little combo, fitting into the front pocket of my
jacket (anorak).

How on earth did they fit all of those people on the summit!?

My congratulations - a great effort.

Drop me a hint if the PP is off the mark. I don't trust this laptop
screen...

PP looks fine to me. I particularly like the second image.

I don't know why but somehow I expected your tallest mountain to be
higher. Australia is generally thought of as being hot, dry and fairly
flat but our highest mountain (Mount Kosciuszko) at 2228 metres is
closer in height to Galdhøpiggen than I expected.
