I don't mind the odd scratch or two. But we've had metal cameras before and not every little mark would go through to the bare metal. Guess it has to do with those modern powder coatings that don't last from twelve to noon compared to a decent old burn-in laquer. There doesn't even seem to be any kind of a primer on the K-7. Many of my old metal cameras look battered and beaten but there's hardly any bare metal to be seen, with the obvious exception of some "brassing" at the corners. Ralf -- Ralf R.
