I usually leave the photo uncropped. I almost always compose in the
viewfinder, so I can't understand why people crop just to fit a paper size -
it makes no sense to me. When I do crop it's because I have composed with a
specific ratio in mind, usually either 1x1 or 2x1. See my webpages for

To print something that isn't a standard paper size I would supply the
printer with a file in the size that I wanted, and have it printed straight.
