On the K10, in the Setup menu, you can set "Auto Power Off" times ranging from 1 to 30 minutes.
On page 270 of the web version of the K7 manual, one can do the same, and even set "Auto Power Off" to OFF, which seems as though it would keep the camera running until one turned it off or the battery was dead.
