If the DL is like the DS or DS2 the longest you can set the meter to remain on is 30 seconds. That might be long enough to help the IR remote use. I thin the default is only 10 sec.

Hello everyone!
Is there a way to maintain the activation of a remote control on a K7 or other? After a certain time, seconds, the remote is sleeping and has to be re-activated with the shutter (half press). That's not very useful. Pentax could make a firmware ajustement, isn't, like the OK button.
Thank you all,
GB

My *ist DL2, the cheapest and nastiest DSLR Pentax ever made:
Menu -> setup -> Auto power off -> off

Problem solved?
New problem: how long will my batteries last?

I don't see any way to turn off the meter deactivation.
